Project Overview
AJ's Pet Transport & Grooming Services came to me through a consultation booked via my own website. After initially getting in touch to rearrange the call, Ashleigh explained that she'd been looking at platforms such as Fiverr for help with her website but ultimately wanted to work with somebody local instead.
With the business just getting started, there wasn't an existing website to work from and only a limited social media presence, so this was a completely new build. The goal was to give AJ's a professional home online, showcase both the dog grooming and pet transport services available, and help the business reach more customers across the local area.
Ashleigh had a couple of websites she liked for inspiration, but gave me plenty of creative freedom with the overall design. Using the photos, branding and information she supplied, I built something from scratch that made each service easy to understand while giving potential customers a straightforward route to get in touch.
My Approach
Trust was particularly important with this project. Whether somebody is booking their dog in for grooming or trusting someone to transport their pet, they want to know exactly who they're dealing with and what to expect. The website therefore needed to feel friendly and approachable while still giving visitors all the information they needed before making an enquiry.
As the project developed, Ashleigh and I moved from email over to WhatsApp, where we could quickly work through additions and amendments. This included developing more detailed contact forms to collect the right information from customers from the outset. Since launching, Ashleigh has already told me that she's had plenty of new customers getting in touch through the website, which is ultimately exactly what we built it to do.
